Love at first bite!
Eli's heartbeat pulsed through my mind, along with one other question .... Why must I be a vampire?
As we stood in the alley, the feelings of thirst and lust surged through my ice cold veins. My grey eyes pierced into his very soul, we were just standing there,I was standing there frozen in enchantment , knowing that I should not want what I could not have. A strange and long silence hovered over us, but just then Eli's astonishing voice broke it.
"I know what you want Mikayla, So stop standing there gawking at me like an idiot!" His harsh words hurt very much, but then I struck back with a much calmer rebuttle.
"I know that you know Eli, but I could never do that to you, make you go through the agonizing pain, staying frozen in time, never aging, is that what you want?"
He was silent for a little bit, then he spoke once again.
"Yeah, that is what I want Mikayla, I want to be with you forever but if that's not what you want..."
"Of course that's what I want you idiot,why wouldn't I want to be with you for all eternity?!" I was inraged by his statement,I wanted to scream at him constantly and then run away and I did not know why. It was very hard falling in love with him at first, but once I told him my secret he fell fang over heels for me and I did the same with him.
"Okay" I said calmly
"Why don't we just try and talk this over, I really wanna make sure this is what you want before I... You know....." I felt akward saying the words 'bite you' it sounded gross and vulgar and I was very far from being gross and vulgar!
"We don't have to talk it over Mikayla, I love you and I want to be with you forever, never having to worry about losing you or you losing me, not having to worry about one of us finding someone else, or anything like that."
He started to lean his neck toward me, but I stopped him quickly.
"Wait, are you sure that this is what you want?" I asked uneasily
"Nothing else would matter to me more than getting bitten by the greatest girl in the world" After he said those words he kissed my cheek and then planted a very soft kiss on my light pink lips, so I decided to give in and give Eli what he wanted.
"Ok, but we'll wait three days, to see if you change your mind."
He nodded, kissed me once more on my pale cheek, then left the alley.
Three days had passed and I was still nervous, about turning Eli, but obviously, Eli was not as nervous.
"Alright babe, let's get this show on the road!" He sounded very excited to be getting turned today and I had made a promise to him that we should wait three days to see how he felt about being turned and a promise is a promise, so I had to do it.
"Okay, but before we get on with this, are you sure that this is what you want?" I was against this whole entire idea of Eli becoming like me, and I was not even the reason I was turned!
"Yes!" Eli said very loudly and excitedly
"I'm ready to be with you forever and all you have to do is bite me one time, then it's over! Then I'm like you and we're together for all eternity" After hearing this speech made I knew that he must really love me, if he were willing to say all of that.
"Ok, let's get this over with." I said plainly, but after all I had made a promise so I had to live up to that promise.
Eli slowly leaned his neck towards me and I leaned towards his neck, my fangs pushed through my gums as soon as I smelled Eli's blood, as we got closer I became calm enough to actually go through with this whole ordeal.
Just as my fangs peirced Eli's skin, he let out what sounded like a small cry. I had only latched down on his neck for all but a minute, but before I could release my fangs from his neck, he emitted the most earsplitting scream I had ever heard in my life.
After I removed my fangs he dropped to the ground and continued screaming, it scared me to see him in this state, but I knew once the screaming was over I knew that he would be mine forever.
